Diagnostic Testing
Advanced cardiac diagnostic capabilities
About This Service
Our IAC-certified echocardiography laboratory provides comprehensive diagnostic testing with advanced capabilities. We offer a full range of cardiac diagnostic services to accurately assess heart function and detect abnormalities.
Our Advanced Diagnostic Testing & Procedures
Arterial Ultrasound+
Arterial ultrasound is a noninvasive test that uses sound waves to visualize blood flow through the arteries of the arms and legs. It helps identify blockages or narrowing caused by plaque buildup (atherosclerosis) that may lead to pain, poor circulation, or risk of stroke. The test provides real-time assessment of arterial health and helps determine whether medical therapy, lifestyle changes, or further intervention is needed.
Carotid Ultrasound+
Carotid ultrasound evaluates blood flow in the carotid arteries, which supply oxygen to the brain. It is a painless, noninvasive test used to detect plaque buildup or narrowing that could increase stroke risk. Early identification allows timely medical management or referral for vascular intervention to prevent complications.
Chronic Care Management+
Our partnership with Intelligent Health Partners allows for proactive, continuous care between office visits. Through structured monthly check-ins, data review, and medication management, chronic care management supports patients with conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and diabetes. This ongoing engagement improves adherence, early detection of changes, and overall health outcomes.
Comprehensive Longevity Labs+
CardioFit offers an expanded panel of longevity-focused laboratory testing through Pacific Medical Laboratories. These labs assess cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, and inflammatory markers to identify subtle risk factors before disease develops. Testing may include lipid particle analysis, inflammatory biomarkers, glucose metabolism, vitamin and hormone panels, and other advanced assays. Results help us design precision-based wellness and longevity programs tailored to each patient.
Coronary Angiogram+
A coronary angiogram is an imaging study that visualizes the coronary arteries, the vessels supplying oxygen to the heart muscle. During the procedure, a thin catheter is guided through an artery in the wrist or groin to inject contrast dye, allowing clear visualization of any blockages or narrowing. The test provides definitive information about coronary anatomy and blood flow, guiding treatment decisions for chest pain, abnormal stress tests, or known coronary artery disease.
Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram+
For patients unable to perform treadmill exercise, a dobutamine stress echocardiogram uses medication to safely simulate the effects of exercise on the heart. Real-time ultrasound images measure how the heart muscle and valves respond to increased workload. This study detects ischemia (restricted blood flow) and assesses overall cardiac performance without requiring physical exertion.
Echocardiogram+
An echocardiogram is a painless, ultrasound-based test that evaluates the heart’s chambers, valves, and pumping function. It provides essential information on heart size, strength, wall motion, and blood flow patterns. Echocardiography is used to diagnose conditions such as heart failure, valve disease, and cardiomyopathy and serves as a cornerstone of cardiovascular care at CardioFit’s IAC-accredited imaging lab.
Electrocardiogram (EKG)+
An EKG measures the electrical activity of the heart through electrodes placed on the skin. It identifies rhythm abnormalities, prior heart damage, or evidence of strain on the heart muscle. The test is fast, painless, and often performed as part of a routine cardiovascular assessment or pre-procedure evaluation.
Holter Monitor (7-Day Ambulatory ECG)+
A Holter monitor records continuous heart rhythm over seven days to detect intermittent arrhythmias that may not appear during a brief in-office EKG. Patients wear a lightweight device while continuing normal activities. The extended monitoring provides detailed data on heart rate variability, skipped beats, or abnormal rhythms and guides decisions about medication or further testing.
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)+
Percutaneous coronary intervention, often performed immediately following a coronary angiogram, is a minimally invasive treatment to open narrowed or blocked coronary arteries. Using balloon angioplasty and stent placement, PCI restores normal blood flow to the heart muscle, relieving chest pain and reducing the risk of heart attack. Our team coordinates these procedures with trusted interventional cardiologists and provides follow-up care focused on medication management, lifestyle optimization, and long-term heart health.
Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)+
Through Intelligent Health Partners, CardioFit provides remote patient monitoring of blood pressure and body weight for select patients with hypertension, heart failure, or metabolic concerns. Bluetooth-enabled devices transmit daily readings directly to our secure system, allowing our clinical team to identify trends, adjust medications promptly, and prevent complications between visits.
Stress Echocardiogram+
A stress echocardiogram combines ultrasound imaging with treadmill exercise to assess how the heart performs under physical stress. It helps identify coronary artery disease, exercise-induced arrhythmias, and functional limitations. Comparing resting and post-exercise images allows detection of areas with reduced blood flow, guiding decisions about medication, lifestyle modification, or coronary intervention.
Vein Mapping Study+
A vein mapping study uses ultrasound to visualize the veins of the legs, identifying valve function, vein size, and flow direction. This test is essential in planning treatment for varicose veins or venous insufficiency and in determining suitability for procedures such as radiofrequency ablation or sclerotherapy. Accurate mapping ensures precise, individualized therapy.
