About This Service
Our venous therapy services provide minimally invasive treatments for vein conditions. We offer compression therapy, sclerotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, and other advanced techniques to improve circulation and reduce symptoms.
Our Treatments & Procedures
Compression Therapy
Compression therapy is the foundation of venous care. Medical-grade compression stockings help improve circulation, reduce swelling, and relieve leg fatigue by applying graduated pressure, firmer at the ankle and lighter toward the thigh, to promote upward blood flow. At CardioFit, we recommend Sigvaris® compression stockings, known for their precision fit and comfort. Stockings are worn during the day and removed at night. Consistent use can prevent disease progression, reduce edema, and support recovery after vein procedures. Our team provides professional fitting and guidance on selecting the ideal compression level for your condition.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a simple, in-office procedure used to treat small varicose veins and spider veins. A fine needle is used to inject a sterile sclerosant solution directly into the affected vein, causing it to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the treated vein is reabsorbed by the body and fades from view. The treatment is quick, requires no anesthesia, and allows patients to resume normal activity immediately. Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on the number and size of veins. Sclerotherapy safely improves both appearance and circulation while relieving heaviness and discomfort.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
Radiofrequency ablation treats larger, incompetent veins that contribute to venous insufficiency and varicose veins. During this minimally invasive procedure, a thin catheter is inserted into the affected vein under ultrasound guidance. Controlled heat energy from radiofrequency waves causes the vein to close, rerouting blood flow to healthy surrounding veins. Performed under local anesthesia, RFA typically takes less than an hour and offers rapid symptom relief with minimal downtime. It effectively reduces swelling, pain, and skin changes associated with chronic venous disease and helps prevent long-term complications.
Incision & Drainage
In some advanced cases of venous insufficiency or superficial thrombophlebitis, localized infection or abscess formation may occur. When this happens, a minor incision and drainage (I&D) procedure may be required to relieve pressure, drain fluid, and prevent further infection. The procedure is performed in-office under local anesthesia. After drainage, patients receive detailed wound care instructions and antibiotic therapy when necessary. Prompt I&D treatment promotes faster healing, reduces discomfort, and helps preserve healthy skin integrity.
Recovery and Follow-Up
Most venous treatments at CardioFit are performed on an outpatient basis with little to no downtime. Patients are encouraged to walk immediately after procedures to stimulate blood flow and enhance recovery. Our team provides clear post-procedure instructions and schedules follow-up ultrasounds to ensure successful treatment and lasting results. Our goal extends beyond symptom relief, we strive to restore long-term vascular health, enhance comfort, and prevent future recurrence of venous disease.
