About This Service

Our vascular care services address arterial and venous diseases with minimally invasive techniques and comprehensive vascular assessment. We provide expert diagnosis and treatment for conditions affecting blood vessels throughout the body.

Conditions We Treat

Carotid Artery Disease+

Carotid artery disease involves the buildup of plaque within the arteries that deliver blood to the brain. It matters because narrowing or blockage can reduce blood flow or lead to stroke. We identify risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and smoking, use ultrasound to evaluate plaque burden, and recommend preventive therapy or coordinate vascular intervention when necessary to maintain adequate cerebral circulation.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency+

Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when the valves in the leg veins weaken, allowing blood to pool and increase pressure within the lower extremities. This may cause swelling, heaviness, skin discoloration, and fatigue. Treatment focuses on improving venous return through compression therapy, leg elevation, exercise, and weight management. For persistent cases, we offer minimally invasive procedures such as radiofrequency ablation and sclerotherapy to close diseased veins and restore healthy circulation.

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)+

Deep vein thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot within the deep veins of the legs. Symptoms often include swelling, warmth, and calf discomfort. It is important to diagnose and treat promptly, as untreated DVT can lead to pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening complication. Our practice provides rapid diagnostic ultrasound testing and immediate initiation of anticoagulant therapy. We utilize modern medications such as apixaban (Eliquis) or rivaroxaban (Xarelto) and provide ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Pedal Edema+

Pedal edema refers to swelling of the feet and ankles caused by fluid accumulation, often related to venous insufficiency, heart disease, or medication effects. While occasionally benign, persistent swelling may signal underlying vascular or cardiac dysfunction. We evaluate for circulatory or systemic causes, adjust contributing medications when appropriate, and recommend compression, leg elevation, and mobility exercises to improve venous return and comfort.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)+

Peripheral artery disease occurs when plaque buildup narrows the arteries supplying the legs, limiting oxygen delivery to muscles during activity. Common symptoms include leg pain, cramping, or fatigue with walking that resolves with rest (claudication). Because PAD indicates systemic atherosclerosis, it increases the risk for heart attack and stroke. We perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound to assess blood flow, manage risk factors like smoking, cholesterol, and blood pressure, and develop individualized plans that may include exercise therapy, medications, or referral for angioplasty or vascular surgery.

Varicose Veins+

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted surface veins that often develop from chronic venous insufficiency. They can cause leg aching, fatigue, swelling, or visible skin changes. Left untreated, they may progress to skin thickening or ulceration. Management includes compression therapy, leg elevation, and lifestyle modification. For cosmetic or symptomatic relief, we offer advanced treatment options such as ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and radiofrequency ablation to safely close affected veins and improve appearance and comfort.
